Egypt mandates ES 5813 safety standard for liquid-heating appliances
Egypt's Ministerial Decree No. 208/2026 mandates Egyptian Standard ES 5813, covering the safety of household electrical appliances for heating liquids -- including kettles, coffee-makers, rice cookers, slow cookers, pressure cookers, egg boilers, feeding-bottle heaters, and similar appliances rated up to 250V.
