Air fryers, electric ovens & cookers — Saudi Arabia

Air fryers and similar electric ovens, cookers and cooking appliances fall under the Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances (BD-142004-01), which SASO applies in Saudi Arabia. Classification isn't by product name — GSO's own list predates the "air fryer" category — but by HS code and function: item 9 on GSO's List 2 (TC143307-01), "other ovens; cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters" (HS 85.16.60.00). Products in this category must be tested against the applicable safety standard and carry the Gulf Conformity Mark (G-Mark) before customs clearance.
